Rediscover Your Today

In the United States, over 600,000 people are released from state and federal prisons each year, and millions more cycle through local jails. Studies show that without adequate reentry support, the likelihood of recidivism—a return to incarceration—can be alarmingly high.
Upon release, formerly incarcerated individuals often face enormous challenges in rebuilding their lives, finding stable employment, securing housing, accessing mental health care, and reconnecting with their families and communities. These challenges are compounded by stigma, systemic inequities, and a lack of coordinated support.
Our mission is built on the belief that every individual is more than their past and deserves a second chance. We recognize that successful reentry requires more than just the absence of crime — it requires dignity, opportunity, support, and community. This belief informs every aspect of our work. Here’s how our mission addresses the key areas of concern:
Securing employment is one of the most critical—and difficult—steps in reentry. A criminal record can act as a nearly insurmountable barrier to gainful employment. Yet stable income is essential for self-sufficiency and long-term success.
Our program provides job readiness training, vocational education, resume development, and connections with employers who are open to hiring returning citizens. We also advocate for fair hiring practices to reduce stigma and promote equitable opportunities. By giving individuals the tools and support to earn a living, we help them reclaim their independence and avoid the economic desperation that often leads to reoffending.
In addition, we also work with community organizations to develop supportive housing models that offer both shelter and wraparound services. Providing a stable living environment allows individuals to focus on rebuilding their lives rather than simply surviving. Through our parenting classes, mentorship programs, and community-building events that foster positive relationships, we yearn to make people feel valued and connected, increasing their likelihood to succeed — and their success, in turn, strengthens the fabric of the entire community.
